Dear Amanda,
God loves you. I love you. You are bright, you are wise. Being different is good, it means you can offer something to others that other people can’t. Someone is and will be grateful for you. Happiness comes from faith in Christ and from the decision to be happy.
But it’s okay to not be okay sometimes. Hard things are worth hard work. You’ll never regret accomplishing hard things. Again, God loves you. He knows who you are and He understands your strengths, your challenges, and the desires of your heart. You are and will be richly blessed.
When you feel your worst and you can’t do anything for yourself, do something for someone else. Helping them will help you. Prayers are heard and answered. Your family loves you. Take care of yourself. Take care of those you love.
When feeling stress, write down exactly how you feel and, later, look at it and identify what you really feel and what the opposition is telling you that you feel. Breathe. React to others’ actions with kindness and consideration.
Choose to never be offended. Think often of the covenants and blessings of the temple, be grateful for them. Ask for blessings from priesthood holders when you need them. Ask for comfort from God when you need peace. Drink more water. Say prayers in your heart.
I believe in you, God believes in you. We know you will make us proud. If you don’t feel confident, pretend you do until you do. You are being taken care of, even on hard days. Things get better in the morning. What you are doing is making God happy.
He is grateful for you. Thank Him in your prayers. You are beautiful, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
I’ve seen your best and your worse and I love you for both. Father loves you that way too, only more than I or you understand. You can do it. We believe in you.
Love,
Amanda
